Deculus has leaders, making visit plans

Cypress (Texas) Cy-Fair 2017 Rivals250 offensive tackle Austin Deculus has not had a chance to take any unofficial visits during the 2015 season, but he plans to change that with a couple of trips in the very near future.
"I'm going to two games this season," Deculus said. "I'm going to the LSU-Florida game and in a couple weeks I'm probably going to end up going to a Baylor one."

The Bears and the Tigers have established themselves as an early top two for Deculus. For LSU, he grew up a fan of the Tigers. His father is from Mamou, La., and he visits Louisiana often.
"I've always lived in Texas, but we would go over to Louisiana to visit family so much it was like you lived there," Deculus said.
He admits growing up a fan of the Tigers has carried over to the recruiting process, but he stops just short of giving the Tigers the No. 1 spot on his list.
"I mean, I really don't have a particular No. 1, but they are one of the tipy top of the list," Deculus said.
There are also several reasons Baylor has also earned a special place in Deculus' heart.
"It's just honestly the way coach Briles is and I've been there so many times and getting to know all the coaches like coach Clem and coach Lebby and coach Trahan all of them are like another family when I go over there. It's like that when I go to both campuses."
In addition to his top two, he also has an idea about where he wants to take his official visits.
"I have Baylor and LSU for sure and Georgia, Tennessee, and Alabama," Deculus said. "That's my top five."
While he does have a top two and a top five right now, Deculus currently plans to take his time with the recruiting process.
"I thought I was going to have a commitment by the end of this upcoming offseason, but I don't know if I'll just wait until the end of senior year and know," Deculus said. "I want to take all of my official visits and all of that."
Deculus is currently ranked No. 151 in the 2017 Rivals250, No. 16 among the nation's 2017 offensive tackles, and No. 23 in the Rivals.com Texas Initial Top 80 for 2017.
