Decision Time Coming For TE

Tight end Sam Johnson from Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic has begun to narrow his choices with two schools leading the pack. At 6-foot-4 and 235 pounds, Sam is an excellent blocker with very soft hands and is considered one of the top players in New Jersey.
"I have it down to four or five schools for sure. Rutgers and Syracuse are my leaders followed by Pittsburgh and a few others including Boston College and Maryland.”

Sam attended three camps over the past two weeks and, while he was ready to choose between Rutgers, Syracuse and Pitt a few weeks back, things have become more muddled. He attended the Rutgers 7-on-7 sessions and was very impressed with the coaching and the whole atmosphere. He also went to Boston College and Syracuse.
"Rutgers was great and I had a super time, my team dominated the 7-on-7 tournaments. The same goes for Syracuse, I have been there four straight years and I like it there very much. BC wants me as a fullback, but I’m not sure I want to play that position in college."
Sam will most likely commit before the season starts. This looks like a three-team battle between Rutgers, Syracuse and Pitt for now. Johnson has offers from all five of his favorites.
