Decision still imminent for Mahone

West Chester (Ohio) Lakota West three-star cornerback Sean Mahone has been preparing for his college selection, which is now just days away.
"I was thinking about having my decision this weekend, but talking it over with my parents I am probably going to wait just a couple more days and think really hard about this decision before I make it because I want to be 100 percent sure," Mahone said.

Mahone's parents are leaving the college selection up to him, but want to ensure he has done his due diligence.
"They want to make sure I make sure it is the right fit for me, that I like the school, I could see myself playing there and spending my four years there," Mahone said.
In July, Mahone named Kentucky, Purdue, Virginia and West Virginia as his top four.
"It's still the same four," Mahone confirmed. "I visited Purdue towards the end of the school year. Kentucky I have been down there a lot of times for games. I visited West Virginia twice and Virginia twice. At the four schools I got to see pretty much everything."
Mahone recently came back from a trip to West Virginia last weekend. It was his second recruiting visit to Morgantown.
"I wanted to make sure I visited West Virginia because my first visit I didn't get see all of the campus," Mahone said. "On my second trip I saw everything school-wise, how the campus is and the dorms."
Trips to each of the other schools took place earlier in his recruiting process and Mahone broke down what he likes about each.
Kentucky: "I love the atmosphere there. I have been to their games and they have a huge fan base. I felt like home there and I have former teammates who like it there too.
Purdue: "I like the campus a lot and I got to see them practice. I didn't get to go to their games yet, but from seeing their practice I really liked their atmosphere.
Virginia: "I liked talking with the head coach. Me and Coach (Mike) London, we're cool. Looking at their campus and facilities, it is real nice. I have a former teammate, C.J. Stalker, he is down there and he has been saying good stuff about them."
The 6-foot, 190-pound Mahone is ranked as the No. 50 cornerback prospect in the 2016 class. As a junior he recorded 42 tackles and three interceptions.
