Decision nears for Louisiana RB

Baton Rouge (La.) Catholic running back Jeremy Stewart has narrowed his list to two programs. The 5-foot-10, 200-pounder visited one of his finalists, Stanford, during the weekend and came away impressed with what he saw in Palo Alto, Calif.
Stewart spoke with Rivals.com while waiting on his flight back to Louisiana.

"(The visit) went real well," Stewart said. "I really liked it up here. It was nice. We toured the campus and got a chance to meet with a lot of the faculty members. I went by the stadium it was real nice. It really was one of the nicest stadiums I have ever seen. We hung out with the players a lot, it was fun."
He also got the chance to meet with new Cardinal head coach Jim Harbaugh.
"I met with him on the first day and met with him about an hour ago," he said. "We basically talked about a lot. He asked me what I was looking for in a school. He thought (Stanford) was a great fit for me. I told him I was going to go home and talk things over with my parents before I commit anywhere."
Stewart is down to two finalists.
"I'm down to Northwestern and Stanford," he said. "Both schools are even right now. I could make a decision this week."
Both programs are recruiting Stewart as a running back.
