Not long ago Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic linebacker Doug Rigg took an official visit to West Virginia. The visit went well, and a decision could be coming before too long.
The 6-foot-1, 220-pound prospect admitted that a decision might not be a long way off, though he hasn't set a timetable and everything is subject to change.
"Maybe, I'm not really sure," Rigg said. "It could change in a couple of weeks. I don't really know right now."
Plenty of other schools have extended offers, including Iowa, Louisville, Maryland, Rutgers and Wisconsin.
"I'm not really talking to any new schools," he said. "It's pretty much the colleges that have offered already ... predominantly West Virginia. I probably hear from them the most, and then Rutgers in a close second."
In fact, Rigg went so far as to list the Mountaineers as his favorite.
"I'd probably have to say West Virginia is my favorite since I've already taken an official there."
On the year Bergen Catholic is 2-1, having lost their last game to St. Peter's. On the year Rigg has carried the ball 25 times for about 150 yards, while recording about 15 tackles on defense.
