Decision is left for Davis

Three-star cornerback Vontae Davis out of Washington (D.C.) Dunbar took his fourth and final official visit of the recruiting season to Maryland last weekend. What did the 6-foot-0, 184-pounder with 4.4-second speed think of his trip to College Park?
"I had a good time and they have a nice environment," he said. "There were a lot of things I didn't know about them and I'm glad I went because I had a lot of fun touring the campus and I even went to ESPNZone which was crazy.

"I also got to spend a lot of time with the coaches. On Sunday before I left, I met with Ralph Friedgen. The conversation was pretty nice and he mostly talked to me about how he's trying to keep nearby players at home."
Overall the No. 1 player in D.C. rated his trip an eight.
"There's no real reason for rating them that, that's just what I'm thinking," he said. "I'd say Maryland is right up there with Illinois, Virginia and Michigan State. Now I just have to sit down and make my decision."
Davis has no idea when a decision will come and confirmed he's taking it slow and it could be awhile.
What does the No. 37 cornerback in the country think about the other three schools?
"I like Illinois because they have new coaches there and it is fresh and they are looking to rebuild," he said. "I like Virginia because it's like being at home and that's really nice. Finally, I'm interested in Michigan State because they play good football in the Big Ten and you can be seen on national television a lot."
