BRADENTON, Fla. - Three-star wide receiver Richard Benjamin is set to make his decision. The talented wideout from Tampa (Fla.) Tampa Bay Tech has narrowed it down to three options.
"My top three are UCF, USF, and Vanderbilt," Benjamin said.
He hopes to make his decision public in the next week or so.
"I plan to decide between July 3rd and July 7th," Benjamin said. "It depends on when my mother is able to get home."
As of Saturday at the IMG 7-on-7 National Championships, Benjamin admits that he is pretty sure he knows where he is going to end up.
"I am," Benjamin said when asked if he already knew his final destination. "Yeah, you can say that I am pretty sure already."
In the process of making his decision, Benjamin has leaned heavily on his mother.
"Just from talking with my mom and being real close with her, asking her how she feels about me going to that school," Benjamin said. "That is what has helped me in making my decision."
Benjamin mentioned that he hopes to visit UCF and Vanderbilt again prior to making his decision, but didn't have any specific details of those visits finalized yet.
