“I went to Kansas State’s camp last week,” the 5-foot-11, 188-pound Kelley said. “I had a good time and learned some things. I had a chance to go up against some pretty good players while I was there, too.”
Kelley’s list of schools with offers extended includes Arizona, Colorado, Kansas State, LSU, Missouri, Texas and Texas Tech.
“The offer from Texas came in last week,” he said. “I like their program quite a bit. It is a school I will have to look at pretty hard when I get close to making my decision. They will definitely be in the mix.”
A decision could come anytime for Kelley.
“I would like to get one made,” he said. “But, I don’t want to rush it. If it looks and feels like the right thing for me to do, then I will do it. If it doesn’t feel like it is the thing I should be doing, then I will wait to make a choice until later on this year.”
As a junior, Kelley recorded 98 tackles, including 38 for losses. He had 15 quarterback sacks and four fumble recoveries.
