Decision could be close for Rasner

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Texas State 7 on 7 Tournament kicked off on Thursday afternoon and one of the top players in attendance was Waco (Texas) Reicher athlete Ross Rasner. The versatile athlete lined up at running back and linebacker in the small school division of the tournament and talked about his recent recruitment and his leader.
"I've been going to a few camps," Rasner said of his summer to date. "I've been going to camps and doing a lot of 7 on 7 with my team. I went to the Texas A&M camp, Baylor camp and the Kansas camp."

Rasner listed Arkansas, SMU, Tulsa, Navy and Rice among his list of offers to date and he also listed a leader.
"Arkansas is on top right now," he said. "I really like Arkansas. I like SMU also but Arkansas is on top."
Rasner also said that he is getting close to making a college decision.
"I probably will make a decision in the next couple of weeks," he said. "I just want to kind of get all this stuff out of the way so that I can focus on my season."
Asked if any school could come in to throw a wrinkle in his plans or give him a new leader, Rasner did have one school that he was high on.
"I like A&M a lot," he said. "I don't know if that would change my decision but I like them a lot."
Currently, Rasner's main focus is his high school team and the rapidly approaching season.
"I think we're going to be good," he said. "We've got a lot running backs and receivers back. Our line is going to be young but I think we'll be alright."
