Decision coming soon for James

Chanceller James visited Boise State over the weekend and while the Spring Valley (Calif.) Steele Canyon safety did not commit the 6-foot-3, 185-pound prospect said something could happen in the next few days.
Unless something drastic happens it seems like only a matter of time until James makes his pledge to Boise State.

"I just left Boise and I love it," James said.
"The town is great and so are the coaches. The team is really a family. I really love what coach (Chris) Petersen is doing there. It's awesome."
Arizona and Boise State had emerged as the favorites in recent weeks for James, who starred at the Under Armour Combine this spring in Los Angeles, but it became clear that if his trip to Boise went well then the Broncos would be in great shape to land his commitment.
James, a three-star by Rivals.com who's rated No. 44 at safety in the 2012 class and No. 96 in the California state rankings, said he considered making his pledge while still on campus but that he's going to take a few days to finalize things.
"I'm going to go to Boise State," James said.
"I haven't committed yet because they want me to go home and think about it. I'm going to commit there on Tuesday."
Visits to UCLA, Arizona and San Diego State also took place this summer for James, who had the Wildcats as a favorite as well and even considered a return trip to Tucson before making his decision but that looks like it won't happen now that he believes Boise State is the place for him.
In total, James has been offered by Air Force, Arizona, Arizona State, Boise State, Colorado, Eastern Washington, New Mexico and San Diego State.
