Decision Coming For Huge OL

The wait could be over soon on a decision from Somerville, Mass. giant offensive tackle Gosder Cherilus.
"He's hoping to decide and announce next week," said Somerville Head Coach Tony Gulla of his 6-foot-7, 270-pound offensive star. "It looks like it's going to come down to Iowa and Boston College right now. He has other offers and Miami has told him they'll offer him after a few games, but he feels most comfortable with those two."

Although Iowa led early and Cherilus loved the campus and coaching staff when he camped out there in June, BC has made a strong push to create a two-team logjam at the top.
"On the one hand, Iowa was a place that he really liked and felt comfortable with when he visited out there this summer," said Gulla. "He liked the coaching staff and felt he could fit in and possibly impact early. Then he visited Boston College earlier this month and got to know them a bit better and liked the idea of playing close to home and for a team with such a great offensive line tradition. It will be a tough decision."
Cherilus also has offers from Michigan, Michigan State, Rutgers, Indiana, South Carolina and many more. He is considered one of the top offensive linemen on the east coast.
