Decision coming for Fils-Aime

Carlin Fils-Aime is on the verge of making his decision. He hasn't set an exact date or a time, nor does he intend to hold some ceremony at his high school. All the Naples (Fla.) High School running back knows for now is that he's ready to wrap things up.
The wheres and whens are still a bit unsettled, but an announcement is coming in short order.

"I'm going to have a commitment by Aug. 1," Fils-Aime said. "I'd like to do it by August first for sure. I will probably just tell me coach or something. It's not going to be a big thing."
Fils-Amie lists his finalists from memory. And while not all of them have an equal shot at landing him, he decides to be inclusive when it comes to naming the programs still in the running to land his commitment.
"Tennessee, Auburn, Miami and North Carolina," he says. "That's it, really. Just those."
With somewhat recent visits to Auburn, Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee now in the rear view, Fils-Aime reflects on what he saw while attempting to avoid tipping his hand. If his mind is made up, the three-star running back masks that fact well.
"At Auburn I connected with one of the players really, really well," Fils-Amie said. "His name was Kerryon Johnson. He and I got along well. I can see he and I becoming brothers if I go there. With Tennessee, those coaches asked me what my favorite play was, and they lined up and ran the play with me. That was fun. All of the coaches know that I like crazy socks and everything, so all of the coaches there were wearing crazy socks when I got there. That was cool. That really stood out to me."
After missing the majority of last season with an injury to his left ankle, Fils-Amie was back to full strength in his team's late-may spring scrimmage, which saw the three-star prospect run for 150 yards and four touchdowns.
