Deboskie excited about latest offer

We've said it before but it bears repeating, you're not going to see too many highlite tapes more impressive than that of Candler (Ariz.) Hamilton running back Covaughn Deboskie. The talented athlete picked up two more offers this week including one from a school he has been listing as his leader for some time now.
Deboskie, 6-0, 190 pounds is easily among the fastest backs in the region. Some backs have track speed that doesn't translate to the football field but Deboskie doesn't lose any of his explosiveness when the pads come on.

At two NIKE combines this year, Deboskie has clocked a 4.48 and a 4.50 40 but he plays even faster. Playing for one of the top programs in the region, Deboskie rushed for 1,304 yards and 22 touchdowns while splitting time with two other running backs.
"This year, I hear it's going to be different," Deboskie said. "My coach told me they're going to build the offense around me and I can't wait. I've seen the amount of carries some other backs have gotten and now I'm looking forward to hopefully doing the same this year."
Deboskie picked up early offers from a number of schools including both in-state colleges- Arizona and Arizona State as well as Oregon. The two most recent ones were UCLA and Illinois.
"The Illinois was way out of the blue because I wasn't hearing anything from them," Deboskie said. "Then just out of the blue, I got a fex ex from them with a scholarship offer. With UCLA, I got a note from Coach Wristen saying to give him a call if I wanted good news.
"So I called him up and he said they think I'm an impact player and they were offering me a scholarship. I was really excited because UCLA has been at the top of my list for awhile. UCLA and Cal, those are the two schools I've always liked. With UCLA, everything just feels good there but I'm not ready to do anything commitment wise just yet.
"I still want to look at their depth chart and also my field of study is Business so I want to look into their Business program and see what it's like. I'm talking with Cal too but they haven't offered yet, hopefully they do. I'm also still looking at Arizona, Arizona State and South Carolina but I could definitely make an early decision if it feels right and I'm comfortable with everything about the school."
