Likely his last visit before practice starts, 2015 linebacker Ricky DeBerry was in Gainesville on Tuesday see what the Gators are like. The Richmond (Va.) St. Christopher's star has more than 40 offers and picked up a Florida offer while on campus.
"The campus was great," said the 6-foot-2, 237-pound DeBerry. "I've never seen such an active campus, especially over the summer. All the players were there and incoming freshman too. You would have though school had already started. They have some amazing food down there too. It seemed like a great place.
"I sat down and talked with Coach Muschamp and we met with the linebackers coach," he said. "I got to talk with the entire coaching staff. Coach Muschamp sees me being able to play all four linebacker spots. They didn't realize I was as big as I am so they definitely see me as a linebacker now."

Possibly his last visit for a little while, it could have been DeBerry's best.
"They're definitely up there. Florida is a great place," DeBerry said. "I got a chance to meet Chris Leak because he's on the coaching staff. I didn't expect to meet him at all. The weight room coach was fired up about everything they did. He talked to me about stuff I've never even thought about before and it clearly works. I can see why the Florida players are the way they are when they compete. They're all about speed and power. "
DeBerry is now vacationing in Florida and could stop by South Carolina on his way home.
