Deaver pulls second offer

Offer No. 2 has come for Charlotte (N.C.) Providence wide receiver Braxton Deaver. The 6-foot-5, 207-pounder confirmed the latest scholarship and discussed his plans for camps this summer.
"I got my second offer from Marshall," he said. "They have a great coaching staff and a great program, but right now I haven't visited anywhere. I'm not going to until camps."

Where is Deaver planning to head?
"I'll be going to Wake Forest, Clemson, North Carolina, Virginia Tech, Duke and Vanderbilt. All of those schools want to see me at camps."
As interest is piling up, does Deaver like anyone?
"At the moment, I'm trying to put everything on the table, but I have grown up loving Wake Forest because my dad played there," he said. "I like Wake's coaching philosophy. That's what is really attractive about them to me."
Plenty of colleges have come by in recent weeks during the May evaluation period and a couple teams impressed the massive receiver.
"I've been really impressed with Coach Pearman from Clemson and the coach from Duke," he said. "They impressed me with their commitment to recruiting and how they act. Some coaches might be a little awkward after all the standard questions, but they are very good about that."
Meanwhile, Deaver recently helped his team to a state championship in lacrosse.
"It was great," he said. "We did everything we had planned on doing and it was our best overall game."
Deaver confirmed he is getting looks for lacrosse as well from a few teams including Duke, Delaware and Notre Dame and confirmed he may visit Notre Dame this summer for lacrosse.
