DE Thomas has a new leader

Olive Branch, Miss. defensive end Victor Thomas seemed to be headed to Ole Miss a little while back according to head coach Jamie Mitchell, but now things have changed and another team has entered the race. Who does the 6-foot-4, 260-pounder have as his leader?
"A couple months ago I thought he was a lock to Ole Miss, but Mississippi State has come on strong and done a really good job recruiting him," Mitchell said. "He's scheduled an official there for January 21st and right now I'd say they lead because he speaks very highly of them.

"There are still a lot of other schools he's looking at including Tennessee, LSU and Florida. They all have offered him now too, but I wouldn't be surprised if he may be one that stays in-state."
The three-star prospect has done very well this season for Olive Branch.
"He's having a really good year and we even played him at offensive tackle some too," he said. "He continues to get bigger and is now up to 260. It's great that he's able to gain weight during the season."
