DE takes first of three trips

Houston (Texas) Clear Creek defensive end Bruce Davis just returned home from his first official visit. He plans on two others.
"I had a good time at Colorado," the 6-foot-4, 225-pound Davis said. "I really enjoyed getting the chance to talk to the coaches and the players. I was able to try to pick their brains and see what they thought about things."

Those things included how Colorado fit into the criteria that Davis has established for helping him find a school.
"I want to go to a school that has a great coaching staff. One that has a winning team. A place with good players. Both on the field and off of the field. And last I want to go to a place that I can get a good education."
Davis felt Colorado fit in well with all of those factors.
"Coach Barnett and his staff have done well, especially the last two years. The team is winning. They won the conference last year and have the chance this year. The players are good and I want to major in kinesiology and I could do that at Colorado."
As for Davis' future calendar he knows he will visit UCLA and Arkansas.
"I'll be taking official visits to UCLA and Arkansas soon. I was scheduled to go to Arkansas next weekend (Nov. 29) but I'm not sure that is the date I'm going now."
