DE Stephon Wright on USC visit: One of the best I've been on

This past weekend a bunch of top local 2019 prospects visited USC.

Four-star defensive end Stephon Wright from Los Angeles Cathedral was one of them - his high school only miles away from the USC campus - and he had a phenomenal time.

Getting to spend more time with the coaching staff was especially important.

“The USC visit was by far one of the best I’ve been on,” Wright said.

“I love the vibe there and all of the coaches. They told me I can be used as an inside and outside guy and that I could play a big role in their defense and I had a great conversation with coach (Clay) Helton. I think that he’s a great coach and the program is headed to do great things.”

Talking with Helton was only one of the many things that stood out to Wright, who has also been high on Oklahoma, Texas A&M and possibly others early in his recruitment.

“He told me he’d love to have me there,” Wright said. “He thinks I would be just fine and I’d be a perfect fit for their program.”

The Los Angeles Cathedral standout does not have any other unofficial visits planned yet but others could happen leading into the offseason.

Other than his offer from USC, the four-star defensive end also has Arizona State, Boston College, Colorado, Iowa State, Kansas, Mississippi State, Oklahoma, Oregon State, San Jose State, Texas A&M, Utah, Washington and Washington State on his list.
