With more than a dozen verbal offers Class of 2012 defensive end Noah Spence has to be feeling pretty good about the position he finds himself in today.
The 6-foot-3, 225-pound prospect from Harrisburg (Pa.) Bishop McDevitt said the most recent verbal offer was from Minnesota but it has become tough to keep track of everything because recruiting has heated up so much lately.
"Lately the schools that have talked to me are Cal, Rutgers, Pitt, Florida, Northwestern and Cincinnati," Spence recalled.

"I'm gonna try to get to a couple of big games [this fall] probably, but I've got to see which ones don't mess with my schedule, school and football-wise."
Spence got off to a fast start last week in Bishop McDevitt's season opening win over Gateway. In that game he recorded five tackles and two sacks, plus he forced a fumble.
Their next game is tomorrow against Central Dauphin.
"Before the season started I thought it would be a building year," he explained. "But I think we have a shot to win the state this year now."
Spence said he has been receiving an enormous amount of mail and attention from coaches online.
