DE Schofield lands a Big Ten offer

North Chicago, Ill. defensive end/outside linebacker prospect O'Brien Schofield (6-foot-4, 220 pounds) has added his 4th scholarship offer this summer after making yet another serious summer camp impression. Schofield received a scholarship offer from the University of Wisconsin on Tuesday night.
"I was at the Wisconsin camp last Friday," O'Brien Schofield said. "I thought I did pretty well at the camp, and today Coach (Brian) Murphy called my coach and told him that they are sending me a scholarship offer via Fed-Ex on Wednesday morning."

Schofield talked about his Wisconsin camp experience.
"Wisconsin overall was just really nice. I was at a one-day camp, so we tested as well as padded up and I was able to get a lot of reps in at the camp. I was able to work with the coaches and it was great that they gave us all a lot of personal attention as well as instruction at the camp. Wisconsin is recruiting me as an outside linebacker, so I spent most of the camp working with the linebackers. We also did a lot of 7 on 7 and drill work, and it was just a very well run camp."
Schofield also came away with some very positive thoughts about the University of Wisconsin.
"I was really surprised at how great the facilities are at Wisconsin, and they have the best facilities I've seen so far. I wanted to check out the campus and Madison a little more, but after the camp was over with I had to get back in the car and head back home. I'm thinking of either taking an unofficial visit to Madison later this summer, or I might just check out a game in person this fall."
Schofield is also looking to wrap up his summer camp tour shortly.
"I'm going to the full camp at Penn State on Saturday, and I might try to go to maybe one or two one-day camps, but we also start our team camp pretty soon so I might not have the time to fit anymore camps in."
O'Brien Schofield has offers from Wisconsin, Iowa State, Central Michigan and Eastern Illinois.
