DE no longer committed

Columbia (S.C.) WJ Keenan defensive end Anthony McDaniel was committed to an in-state school before his most recent official visit. Now he's wide open again.
"I had a really good visit, I knew a lot of the players already and got to get a better feel for where I fit in with their defense," said the 6-foot-7, 270-pounder. "I like the changes they're making to their defense under the new coordinator. Coach Cosh and coach Oliver both showed me how I'd be used in their scheme."

McDaniel had committed to Clemson a week ago but admits he might have decided too soon.
"I'm glad I went to South Carolina," he said. "It couldn't be closer to home and it's also a good fit. Tennessee, Clemson and South Carolina are sending coaches to my school later in the week."
The Gamecocks offered McDaniel later than the rest, but seem to have made up ground.
"I'm pretty much torn right now between the three," he said. "They all look good right now."
