Scott McLaughlin played last season with an injured back which limited him to 6 games.
So how is the back coming along? "It's about 90% back to normal," McLaughlin said.
One thing to remember is some of his testing was done with that bad back, so they are somewhat misleading. A good senior season should make more schools take notice.
Right now schools looking at Scott include Iowa, Iowa State, Nebraska, Notre Dame and Missouri.
He does not have any offers at this time. "Iowa State, Nebraska and Notre Dame seem to be writing me the most right now," McLaughlin said.
Any of those schools standing out right now? "Yeah, I would say Nebraska is my slight leader right now." Their tradition and being the local school put them slightly ahead of the others."
He was unable to attend any summer camps this year due to his back, but he has unofficially visited Nebraska.
"If I had to pick a few teams that I definitely need to see, they would be Iowa State, Nebraska and Notre Dame," McLaughlin said. "I would like to make my decision as early as possible, so I can concentrate on my senior season.''
He is not completely sure yet about his major, but is thinking of biology.
Name your toughest opponents from last season. "I guess two that come to mind right away are Titus Adams and Tom Kramer."
