DE McAndrew draws another Pac-10 offer

Glenbard West High School (Ill.) defensive end/tight end prospect Tom McAndrew (6-foot-5, 235 pounds) spent last week in Northern California on a family vacation, and McAndrew came back to another offer from the Pac-10 conference, as UCLA is the latest school to offer this standout prospect.
"I was in Northern California on vacation last week with my family," Tom McAndrew said. "It felt really good to just finish my junior year of high school and to get a chance to get away from everything. We basically did the usual tourist things, and it was a blast. Now it's time for me to focus on my senior season, and we start our team camp on Monday and I'm ready to get going."

"I came back and had a Fed-Ex package waiting for me, and I've received a scholarship offer from UCLA. I knew that the coaches from UCLA had been very interested in me, but I was just unsure if they were going to offer me, and now they have. I'm pretty excited about getting an offer from the Bruins, they have a great school and they also have a ton of tradition as well."
McAndrew also was able to make another unofficial visit to Stanford on his vacation. "I was able to stop in at Stanford and I was able to talk to the coaches, and I always enjoy talking to the coaches at Stanford."
"I'm going to start to really give some serious thoughts as who my favorite schools list will be. I'm thinking about taking a few unofficial visits later this summer, then hopefully by the end of the summer I'll have a top schools listing."
Tom McAndrew has scholarship offers from UCLA, Arizona, Illinois, Michigan State, Stanford, Boston College, Northwestern, Indiana and the University of Pittsburgh.
