DE Mason taking things slow

Frederick, Md. defensive end Forrest Mason holds two scholarships. Numerous other schools are keeping tabs on the 6-foot-3, 234-pounder.
"I've got offers from East Carolina and Connecticut," he said. "I'm talking to Rutgers, Kansas State, NC State, Michigan State, North Carolina, Minnesota, California and Virginia. They all want me to send them my first few games on film."

Are visits coming for Mason?
"Not right now," he said. "I'll probably take visits after the season once we're done. East Carolina is talking to me and they want me to get down for a game."
The two-star prospect claims no leaders at this time.
In the meantime, Mason is playing big for Frederick.
"We're 1-2 and our defense is pretty good," he said. "I'm playing pretty well actually. The last game I had 19 tackles and the game before that I had 15.
"I've seen an improvement. My coach works with me really well and works on my pass rush and keeping separation."
