DE Martin takes an unofficial visit

Roanoke Rapids, N.C. defensive end Kareem Martin made his first fall trip this past weekend. It was for an unofficial, where did the 6-foot-6, 222-pounder go?
"I was at North Carolina over the weekend for an unofficial," he said. "It was good. The atmosphere was great even though they didn't play a great team.

"They rotated a lot of their defensive linemen in and out. I got to see that their defensive line isn't as deep as I once thought and they rotate so that's a good thing."
While in Chapel Hill, Martin met with the coaches.
"I talked to the coaches both in pregame and postgame," he stated. "I didn't get to talk to them too much, but it was nice to see how they interact with their players. The visit did help them as I got to talk to the coaches and players more."
Despite that, the three-star prospect claims no leader.
"I still have no leader," he said. "My next trip is to Virginia Tech on September 19th for an unofficial.
"I just want to go and see the game day atmosphere there and meet some of the players and talk to them about why they chose Virginia Tech and things like that."
