DE looking at Big Ten and SEC

Decatur (Ill.) Saint Teresa defensive end Marquis Singleton was in Columbus, Ohio, May 5, hoping to show off his talents for college coaches as well as take a look at Ohio State.
"I went there for the NIKE Camp at Ohio State," Singleton said. "I got to look around a little. They have a big campus, real big. But it's nice."

Ohio State is one of a number of Big Ten schools Singleton is looking at.
"I'm interested in the Big Ten and SEC," he said. "Illinois, Michigan, Michigan State, Iowa, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Ohio State, Florida, Georgia and North Carolina State are schools I like."
Recruiters are definitely interested in Singleton.
"Illinois has been to school," he said. said. "Michigan State, Northern Illinois, those are the other ones I know have been out. And Purdue called."
Singleton has made a few spring visits.
"I went to a Wisconsin junior day," he said. "I went to Texas' spring game. I went to an Illinois junior day and a spring practice.
"I plan to go to a few senior camps like Illinois, Indiana and Michigan State, and I'm thinking about Wisconsin and Northern Illinois."
Singleton, who is waiting for his first scholarship offer, is keeping an open mind.
"I don't have a favorite right now," he said. "I like them all."
The 6-foot-4 and 226-pounder registered 12 sacks during his junior season as he was named all-conference and all-county. Singleton, in his two years as a varsity starter, has played defensive end, linebacker, and tight end.
