DE knows of three visits

Tim Jackson is a three-star defensive end prospect from St. Petersburg (Fla.) Gibbs High School. Jackson, 6-5 and 220 pounds, now has 15 scholarship offers. His total has almost doubled over the past month.
"I have 15 now and it's a great feeling," Jackson said. "I am feeling good. I am feeling confident."

The latest to offer Jackson are Wake Forest, South Florida, UAB, Purdue, Vanderbilt, Louisville and Iowa State.
"I know I want to visit Wake Forest and Stanford for sure this fall for official visits. I will probably visit Auburn. I wouldn't call them my favorites at this point but those are three schools that I know I want to see for official visits."
So far this summer Jackson has camped at two schools, Florida International and USF (SuperBull). He may camp at the University of Florida for Friday Night Lights later this month.
"I had a chance to go to some other places but I wanted to stay here and work with my team. We had a coaching change and I want to make sure everything is okay."
Former Gibbs coach Yusuf Shakir left to coach his alma mater, Tallahassee Lincoln. Gibbs just recently filled their head coach vacancy with former Tampa Bay Buccaneer Clifton Abraham.
"Boy he seems so knowledgeable. He's a different kind of coach. He doesn't raise his voice and stays very calm. He seems like a real good teacher."
