DE Jefferson talks Maryland, Syracuse

Pittsburgh (Pa.) Woodland Hills defensive end Quinton Jefferson was recently at both Maryland and Syracuse to check out what each school has to offer, and he spoke with Rivals.com about how those visits went on Monday.
The 6-foot-3, 225-pound prospect from Pennsylvania just returned home not long ago.

"I actually just came back from Maryland this weekend," Jefferson recalled. "I went to Syracuse last weekend.
"I was at Syracuse for their spring game. It was nice there. A recruit from my area showed me around campus. Their campus is beautiful. I didn't know it was a private school. They put me in one of their classrooms and it was nice.
"It was the second time I had been to Maryland. Their campus is just as beautiful and their spring game went well. I talked to the coaches again. They're nice."
Jefferson said he hopes to schedule a visit to Iowa sometime soon. He wants to get around to visiting some of the other schools on his list but isn't sure when he will fit all of that in.
Boston College, Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Pittsburgh and Syracuse are the six schools that have offered Jefferson. Others could be close to doing that as well.
"Purdue just wants me to come up there," he said. "They said they want to offer. They've just got to see my size. There will probably be some more schools that show up."
Jefferson will wait until after he takes a few more visits before he starts talking about favorites.
He said he isn't sure when he will make his decision.
