DE Has A Big Ten Offer

"He's an athlete, not just a big kid," Albertsville St. Michael head coach Earl Bauman said of his star player, Matt Spaeth. "He's big and agile. The five schools he really likes are Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska, and Notre Dame, not in any particular order. Minnesota has offered him. Minnesota and Iowa are looking at him as a tight end or outside linebacker. Notre Dame is looking at him as a defensive end."
Spaeth (6'8 245 4.8) played mostly middle linebacker during his junior season. He led his team in tackles. As a senior Spaeth is playing several positions spending time at defensive end, middle linebacker, and tight end. He is also drawing some interest from basketball recruiters.
