Three schools lead for Clairton, Pennsylvania defensive end Desimon Green, though he is open to other schools.
Two of Green's favorites are close to home, while one is in a completely different part of the country.
"My favorites are Pitt, Texas Tech and Penn State," Green explained.
"Pitt is really close to home so my parents can come watch me play. My cousin is going there this year so I've got family there.
"With Texas Tech me and the coaches have just connected. We have a friendship. I just want to go down there and check it out.
"Penn State has just been one of my favorites from the start. I really don't know too much about them. That's the negative part. They said they usually have their prospects come up there (and visit), and if everything goes well they might offer."
Green said the distance he would have to travel to attend Texas Tech is a negative that will probably hurt the school's chances in the long run, but he said he likes everything else about the Big XII program.
He will probably take an official visit to Texas Tech, as well as one or two more.
"I'll probably only take about three official visits," he said. "I want to make my decision around September."
Green will attend Penn State on March 24, and will also make trips to Pitt, West Virginia and Bowling Green for their spring games.
