DE Cumbie talks Notre Dame visit

Morris (Ill.) junior defensive end prospect Jamie Cumbie (6-foot-7, 255 pounds) was on his way back from the University of Notre Dame junior day this afternoon in a very good mood.
"I've just got back from the Notre Dame junior day," Cumbie said. "I had a really good day overall, and Notre Dame has offered me a scholarship today."

Cumbie is excited about landing his latest offer from the Fighting Irish.
"It's a real honor to receive an early offer from Notre Dame. Notre Dame is just filled with great tradition and history, and to be offered a chance to play there is really a great honor."
Cumbie enjoyed his day in South Bend and talked about what stood out to him about Notre Dame.
"I really just liked the coaches at Notre Dame. Coach (Charlie) Weis is just a very down to Earth guy, and hen just seems like a regular guy and he is also very easy to talk with. I got along really well with all of the coaches at Notre Dame. I also enjoyed taking the tour of the campus, and Notre Dame has just a great overall campus setting."
"The people at Notre Dame also treated everyone really well, and everything about the junior day was well organized. The coaches and the staff seemed well organized, the food was great, and I really didn't find anything that was disappointing about Notre Dame. We didn't get to tour too many of the facilities because Notre Dame is in the process of doing some serious renovations, but it should look great according to the plans that they have for it's renovations."
Cumbie currently has early scholarship offers from Notre Dame, Clemson, Illinois, Northwestern and Purdue.
