DE Beltre has a favorite

Randolph, N.J. defensive end Frank Beltre finished his senior season on Friday night. With the season behind him, the 6-foot-4, 215-pounder is now focusing his attention on recruiting.
"We ended our season last Friday and finished 4-6," he said. "For the team it wasn't that good, personally I thought I had an ok year.

"I couldn't have done it without my teammates. I thought I saw a big improvement playing running back. I didn't get to play defensive end as much due to a dislocated shoulder. They put me at linebacker a little more. I'm fine now though."
On the recruiting front, Beltre holds two offers from Duke and Towson. Is anyone else close?
"Most of the schools, Cincinnati, Northwestern and Rutgers are showing a lot of interest," he said. "They are just waiting for my SAT scores. I took them recently. Depending on how I do, that'll determine their interest."
At this time, one school is leading for the two-star prospect.
"For some reason, Northwestern is the school I've really been looking forward to," he said. "I like that they are a good academic school and I've grown something between the coaches. There's something about them. I like the program a lot too. I can't wait to take an unofficial to see the school."
Beltre currently has one visits scheduled, but maintains he will take more.
"I think I'm going on December 14th to Towson for an official," he said. "They were the first to offer and deserve it. I'll be going to Northwestern, Cincinnati, Duke and I think Monmouth as well."
This Saturday Beltre plans to take an unofficial visit to Rutgers.
