DE Banks is on the verge of offers

College interest is growing for High Point (N.C.) Southwest Guilford defensive end Brandon Banks. The 6-foot-3, 230-pounder hasn't landed an offer yet, but it seems like it's only time according to his coach.
"He hasn't had any offers, but Wake Forest and Duke sound like they will in the spring," Southwest Guilford head coach Scot Schwarzer said. "He's getting heavy interest in this area. West Virginia and Virginia have said they will offer it's just a matter of time.

"Virginia Tech is on him hard, of course they want him to camp. NC State and Nebraska really like him."
Does Banks like anyone?
"Obviously he likes Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and Duke," he said. "Those schools have shown the most attention."
Schwarzer went on about Banks.
"He was conference defensive player of the year and we were 2-4 in the conference, that tells you how good he is," he said. "He had 72 tackles, 16 for loss and six sacks.
"He's got that motor that never stops. We have to take him out of practice because we couldn't run plays. He doesn't take a play off and our opponents have to game plan against him. He's going to get bigger too; his dad is 6-foot-4, 280-pounds. Off the field, he's a B student."
