DE Alosi likes Syracuse, Cincy

June and July are typically very important months for prospects that are trying to narrow down their lists and ultimately make their decisions.
Some prospects take a laid back attitude into the summer months, opting to focus on other things and then turn their attention to recruiting when school starts back up. Others, such as Marlton (N.J.) Cherokee offensive/defensive lineman Anthony Alosi, attempt to pack as much into their summer schedule as they possibly can.

At 6-foot-5 and 262-pounds, Alosi lacks the explosiveness and quickness of some other prospects at his position. He does, however, have undeniably toughness and a grit that has some colleges impressed.
Though Monmouth is the only school that has offered Alosi thus far, he did a nice job of impressing coaches while hitting up the camp circuit.
Alosi attended one-day camps at Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Maryland, Rutgers, Syracuse, UConn and Villanova in June.
"I really liked them all but I probably really liked Syracuse and Cincinnati the most."
What did he like about the two Big East schools?
"At Syracuse, I just felt really welcomed. The coaches would take me out of drills and work with me one-on-one. They said they need to get together as a group and talk about everything. They got all they needed as far as seeing me. They might like to see me as an offensive lineman as well as a defensive linemen. I'm not sure yet.
"I feel like things went really well at Cincinnati as well. Afterward they said I did really well. They took me on a private tour and they told me they want to see some tape. If that goes well then I guess they'll think about (offering).
"I don't know if those two are my favorites but I would say they're close to the top."
That all sounds great, but it begs the question -- are those schools, or others, any closer to offering Alosi than they were at the beginning of the summer?
"I'm not sure. I haen't really been back to the school yet to check on everything. The Pitt coach called my coach and said they really liked me. They said they'd see how things go. Most coaches call my coach as soon as I'm done. They've all said I did well, so we'll see."
