Adam Plant is focused on finishing a strong senior season. He’s also looking at some important visits in the coming weeks.

“I plan on taking a visit to the University of Texas sometime in November and Arizona as well,” Plant said.

“And I'm going to try and make visits to USC and UCLA in December.”

The three-star defensive end from powerhouse Las Vegas Bishop Gorman had been committed to Arizona early in the recruiting process but decided to back off that pledge.

That does not mean the Wildcats are out of his recruitment and another visit to Tucson is a big indication that Arizona is still a major contender for his services.

Texas could be an interesting option as he's talked more with that coaching staff through the fall and seems to have a significant amount of interest in the Longhorns.

The 6-foot-6, 260-pound three-star prospect who has recorded 39 tackles including 9.5 for loss so far this season, has been talking more with the Longhorns staff.

Getting to Austin could be really important and could further ramp up interest from both sides.

“I've been keeping in touch with Texas through coach Oscar Giles,” Plant said.

“He and I have created a great relationship with each other and I've been keeping in contact with coach Vince Amey and coach (Jahmile) Addae at Arizona.”
