DCs Monroe up to four scholarships

Defensive tackle Andre Monroe pulled in two more offers recently. The Washington (D.C.) St. John's College High lineman is now preparing for camps this summer.
"I got my third offer from Akron and fourth from Ohio recently," he said. "I also have offers from New Mexico and Maryland.

"It's always great to get more options to go to school. It was kind of random."
Monroe is looking to add to his list with a busy summer ahead.
"I've got to be a road warrior this summer," he said. "The only two camps I'm going to for sure are Florida State and Rutgers. The rest are still unsure due to money and fitting it in with my dad's schedule.
"I think we're definitely going to Duke and North Carolina. I am thinking about Pittsburgh, Connecticut, Virginia Tech, Virginia, Florida, Miami and Michigan State."
Monroe is pretty open at this time as he claims a number of schools have caught his eye early.
"I like all the schools that have offered along with North Carolina, Michigan State, Florida State, Virginia Tech, Miami, Duke and Pittsburgh," he said. "All of these it's about location, location, location. Either they are close to home or at least not too far. They all have great academics and for those I haven't seen yet, I want to go to."
