DC wideout looking for recruitment to pick up

Washington (D.C.) H.D. Woodson wide receiver Alonzo Russell just finished up a big senior season. Now the 6-foot-4, 180-pounder is hoping it turns up the heat on his recruitment.
"Virginia Tech, New Mexico and Illinois are stepping up their recruitment," he said. "It sounds like they could be close to offering and want me to get down for a visit.

"I think they want me to visit sometime in January."
Previously, Russell claimed offers from Pittsburgh and West Virginia, but isn't positive of his status with those offers at this time.
Does anyone lead?
"No, I'm just waiting to see what happens with all of these schools."
Russell helped Woodson to a second straight Turkey Bowl championship and finished his season with 58 receptions for 1,081-yards and 12 touchdowns. He posted four touchdowns and 300-yards in the final two games of the season.
