DC tailback claims four offers

Offers are starting to come in for Washington (D.C.) H.D. Woodson tailback Duane Thompson. The 5-foot-10, 185-pounder claims four scholarships at this time with many other schools starting to move in.
"It's picked up a lot," he said. "I have offers from Illinois, Colorado, East Carolina and Kansas.

"I was excited about all four of them. I've been looking them up on Youtube, seeing who the running back coach is and trying to get a feel for the four schools. I'm jotting some things down on each of them."
Do any of them stick out?
"I'm not really sure," he said. "I like a lot of the schools, but they all bring something different."
In addition, Thompson is receiving looks from North Carolina, Temple, Ohio State and Virginia Tech.
Thompson noted one school sticks out from the rest.
"I always grew up liking the Big 12, the schools in that conference," he said. "I really liked Oklahoma, but now as I'm getting more mature, I don't really think they'd fit my running style."
To date, Thompson hasn't taken any trips, but is looking for a few things as he begins to look into colleges more.
"Right now I just would like to see the schools that show me the most interest," he said. "I want the school that shows me love and somewhere I'll feel more comfortable. I want a place that'll maximize my ability and find different ways to get me the ball."
Playing for Archbishop Carroll last season, Thompson posted 1,300-yards rushing and eight touchdowns as he earned first team all-conference honors.
"I think as a football player, I'm aggressive and physical," he said. "I may not be the fastest and strongest, but I'm the most physical player on the field. I pride myself on that."
