DC sleeper schedules two officials

Offers have been rolling in for Washington (D.C.) St. John's College athlete Gerald Moore. The 6-foot-0, 185-pounder is set to take official visits to a couple schools in the next few weeks.
"I'm planning on going up to Army this weekend and Louisville next," he said. "Those are the only two visits scheduled so far. Some other schools are coming into the picture.

"I want to visit these since they are showing a great amount of interest. I want to give the military school a shot, while I received a good visit from Coach Mallory the other day in-home."
Currently the Cardinals have the edge.
"Louisville is probably the top school I'm looking at right now," he said. "It's just because of the coaching staff. I met them on an unofficial visit. They'll give me a chance to come in and do things early if I work hard."
As for offers, numerous schools have pulled the trigger.
"I've got offers from Louisville (verbal), Navy, Army, Eastern Michigan, Ohio and Northwestern (verbal)," he said. "I think the verbals just want to see if I'm interested and will come up for a visit before offering.
"I'm also hearing from Kentucky and Tennessee. Their coaches called my high school coach recently."
While the two-star prospect is taking two visits now, he confirmed he plans to take more in January.
"I'm definitely going to take other visits when things fall in place."
This year, Moore helped St. John's to an 8-3 record.
"We lost in the semifinals to Good Counsel and then to DeMatha in the championship," he said. "I did pretty well. I started off the year at quarterback and then played tailback, safety and running back. I ended up with 52 tackles and two interceptions."
