DC safety claims first offer

One offer has come in for a defensive back out of D.C. The offer recently came from the ACC for the 6-foot-3, 195-pounder.
"I got an offer from North Carolina," Washington (D.C.) Archbishop Carroll safety Darwyn Kelly said. "I like North Carolina, but I'm going to play it by ear. Things seem to be picking up.

"I haven't been down to North Carolina, but I like the fact they run that 4-2-5 attack. I also like the coaches. I've talked to them a couple times."
Kelly plans to head down to North Carolina on March 14th.
Regarding othe colleges, a few are taking notice.
"I've talked to Virginia Tech and Colorado," he said. "They said they are going to check out my tape and would keep in touch with me."
Kelly posted 72 tackles, four interceptions and five pass breakups as a junior as he earned honorable mention all-conference honors.
"I've been improving every year and I think my size, instincts and ball skills are pretty good," he said. "I have great cover skills and I'm also able to come up in the box and help on run support."
Kelly claims no favorites at this time, but noted plenty of schools he is interested in.
With that, what does he want in a college?
"I'm looking for a chance to start and a family," he said. "I want a school with dedication and a great community. I want an excellent football program."
