DC lineman Wiggins getting major looks

Washington (D.C.) Gonzaga College has another offensive lineman to keep an eye on in the 2008 recruiting class in tackle Eric Wiggins. The 6-foot-5, 290-pounder doesn't hold an offer yet, but is getting some serious looks.
"He's being courted by a few schools including Maryland, Pittsburgh, Penn State, Virginia, Syracuse, Connecticut, Notre Dame, Alabama and others. Nobody has pulled the trigger on an offer yet," Gonzaga head coach Kenny Lucas said. "He doesn't have any favorites either. I think he just wants the opportunity to play somewhere at the I-A level."

Lucas went on to describe what stands out about his talented lineman.
"Eric definitely has the size to play at the I-A level," he said. "He just needs to take that next half step. I see the potential to do that in him because he's versatile and could play either side of the ball in college.
"For his size, Eric is an athletic kid that used to be a basketball player. He has good agility to play defense, good feet, is very coachable and he can run. He does everything you ask and is a smart kid whose best years are ahead of him. He tries to be successful at whatever he does."
