DC athlete Moore takes a visit
Washington (D.C.) St. John's College athlete Gerald Moore took his first official visit over the weekend. The 6-foot-0, 185-pounder took an official to West Point.
"It was pretty good," he stated. "They really informed me about the school and everything they do there.

"I had a good experience meeting the players. They've got some good safeties in there. I'm just not sure of the situation with the military. It's always something I have to keep in consideration."
Moore was at Army from Friday through Sunday.
"While I was there they gave us a tour of the campus, an academic brief, we toured the facilities and I had dinner with the coaches and players," he said. "My host was Patrick Mealy.
"It was pretty fun hanging out with him. They've got a good bunch of kids on the team. He just helped me to understand Army better."
The two-star prospect got to know the coaches better too.
"That was pretty good," he said. "They have a good coaching staff with a lot of knowledge. I liked my position coach and Coach Brock. They just talked to me and asked if I considered prep school."
Where does the visit put Army for Moore?
"I don't have a top five, but they are definitely at the top of my list. They are a great institution."
The D.C. prospect planned to take a second official this weekend to Louisville, but has postponed the visit.
"I had to reschedule since their players will be out of town. I'm going there on January 11th now."
