DC athlete considers an unofficial visit

Washington (D.C.) Dunbar athlete Jharron Armstrong holds two offers including one from the Big East. The 6-foot-2, 187-pounder is planning to make a visit to the BCS school in the near future.
"I've got offers from Akron and Syracuse," he said. "I'm planning to arrange a visit to Syracuse soon. I want to get up there for a game to see the atmosphere on campus. A few other schools want me to take visits too, but I haven't started to look into those."

While the three-star prospect doesn't have any favorites, he claims more programs are waiting to make a decision about offering.
"I hear from JMU, Boston College and Minnesota," he said. "Most of the schools talking to me are waiting for senior highlight tape, once they get that they can make a decision."
So far this year, the No. 53 athlete has helped his team to a 6-2 record.
"It's going great," he said. "We've got a bunch of confident guys that are willing to go out and play some good football. This team doesn't quit.
"I'm doing quite good too. I have four interceptions along with one receiving touchdown and a punt return for a touchdown. On defense, I think I'm reading the plays better and adjusting to the ball more. That's accounted for more big plays."
