Junior To Watch: Leo Ferrine

Position: Defensive back
Size and speed: Leo stands 6-foot-0, 180 pounds and has excellent speed. He has been timed at 4.4 seconds in the 40-yard dash.
Honors: All-area
Statistics: As a defensive back, Ferrine made 50 tackles, had six interceptions and broke up eight passes. As a receiver he caught 23 passes for 540 yards and three touchdowns. He also had a punt and kickoff return for touchdowns.
Favorite schools: Early in the process Leo lists Virginia, Rutgers, North Carolina State, Boston College, Penn State and Iowa as his favorites.
Skinny: Leo should make a nice name for himself this upcoming season. He has the ability to be a top defensive back in the Garden State and college recruiters are well aware of it.
“I was at the Rutgers Junior Day and I really liked it. The new facilities are gonna be awesome and the coaches are really nice.”
Leo will be attending three camps this summer.
“I’m going to Virginia, Rutgers and Penn State. I’m also going to NIKE Camp as well.”
Leo will be attending the Rivals.com Junior Day at Rutgers on April 5.
