Lake Wales (Fla.) defensive back Marcus Walker picked up his second verbal BCS offer yesterday from Vanderbilt according to the 2015 standout.
Walker said his coach Rod Shafer called him into his office after a workout to tell him the Commodores offered. What was his reaction like to adding an offer from one of the nation's hottest programs?
"I felt very blessed. I gave all the glory to God. I also gave thanks to my DB coach for helping get to where I'm at today. I can see myself there. I like how their defense is set up" noted Walker.
The central Florida product called Ohio State his "dream" school. He grew up watching the Buckeyes and really likes Urban Meyer's style of leading a program.
He recently attended the Jimbo Fisher Camp and this weekend he will head down to Miami for the Al Golden Camp.
Although he still has two more years to make his decision, Walker named an early top four.
"I have to say Florida, UCF, USF, and Vanderbilt are out in front. Those schools will probably stay up there. If Ohio State offers I may commit," stated Walker.
He mentioned Notre Dame as a school he may try to visit as well because he wants to learn more about the program.
As a sophomore he recorded six interceptions while also helping in the punt return game. All of the schools are recruiting him as a safety.
