DB standout Lorenzo Sims gets another offer

Lorenzo Sims (5-11, 180, 4.5) from Fresno (Calif.) Edison has successfully recovered from knee surgery and is good to. “It wasn’t that serious,” Sims said. “Now it’s 100%”
Sims and his Edison teammates opened up the season last Friday with a 25-15 victory over Fresno (Calif.) Bullard. Sims had a great game racking up 14 tackles, dropped one pick right in his hands and three pass deflections.

Sims is a great hitter and is fantastic in run support. He’s outstanding in pass coverage, too. He is a physical and aggressive defensive back. “Lorenzo brings the hammer,” Edison head coach Ray Reyes in an earlier interview. “Sims has a great feel for the game and as a nose for the football.”
Sims plays for one the state’s best defensive backfields. He and his Edison teammates have quite a legacy to live up to.
Edison has sent a lot of defensive backs to the D1 level recently. The list includes Tierre Sams (Fresno State), Paul Holland (New Mexico State), Ricky Manning (UCLA) and most recently Aaron Miller (Oklahoma).
The phone has been ringing at the Sims household lately. The likes of UCLA, Cal, Oregon State, Colorado, Nebraska, LSU, and Fresno State have called Sims.
Sims has offers from USC, Colorado, Nebraska, LSU, Fresno State and the latest offer is from Oregon State.
“My two schools are USC and LSU,” Sims said. “Nebraska, Colorado and Oregon State could sneak into the picture.”
