DB ready to contribute at Michigan

Defensive back and Michigan commitment Steve Brown out of Columbus (Ind.) East had his senior season disrupted by injury, but Brown feels he will be ready as soon as the Wolverines need him.
And the 6-foot-1 and 200-pound Brown feels he will contribute quickly once he gets to Ann Arbor.
"I'm going to play as a freshman," Brown said. "I don't plan to redshirt. (The Michigan coaches) think I can come in and play."
After making close to 30 tackles and rushing for 200 yards and eight touchdowns during the first four games of the season, Brown sustained a broken ankle.
"I was supposed to make my official visit to Michigan when they play Ohio State," Brown said. "But I think it will be in December because I'll still be on crutches."
The Wolverines have continued to stay in touch with Brown through his rehabilitation process.
"I talk to coach Moeller every week," Brown said. "I went to the Michigan-Notre Dame game."
Brown is the No. 4 cornerback prospect in the player rankings and the No. 2 prospect in the state of Indiana.
