DB Kirby has one official in mind

Fresh off a solid performance at the State College NIKE Camp junior corner Dondi Kirby is back to talking about the recruiting process.
The 6-foot-3, 180-pound defensive back from Monroeville (Pa.) Gateway could end up as a safety at the college ranks and he displayed excellent skills for someone that could play that position last weekend. He covers a lot of ground and has excellent athletic ability.

"I actually thought I performed well enough to win the defensive backs award," Kirby said recalling the event. "Unfortunately I didn't get it."
Don't feel too bad for Kirby. Since that event at State College he has picked up new offers from Wisconsin, Purdue and Louisville. He has spoken with the coaches from Wisconsin and Purdue while he just received the Cardinals' offer in the mail with a letter.
This summer Kirby and his teammates at Gateway will be participating in several 7 on 7 events but he is unsure of what he has planned individually. He said he would like to attend some camps to showcase his skills yet again.
One school that has not offered is Penn State, and Kirby has been informed by his coach that the Nittany Lions do not plan on extending a scholarship offer.
He plans on taking all of his official visits later this year before he makes a decision and he already has one school in mind that he wants to take one to.
"I want to take one (official) to Miami, Fla. to check out the Hurricanes," he said.
