DB Johnson is gaining interest

Cary (N.C.) Panther Creek safety Dominick Johnson is still looking for his first offer. The 6-foot-4, 180-pounder is getting a variety of interest from colleges across the country.
"Georgia Tech, Tennessee, NC State, Duke, Missouri, Alabama, Wake Forest, Maryland and Penn State are interested," he said. "They are all just inviting me to junior days, telling me to come up and visit and see how their campuses are."

Recently, Johnson visited Georgia Tech.
"Georgia Tech is the only school I've visited so far," he said. "It was really good. I went for junior day and toured around the campus more, got more detail about the school and got to talk to the coaches. I got a better relationship with them."
Does Johnson like anyone at this stage?
"After visiting Georgia Tech, I like Georgia Tech a lot right now," he said. "I have always liked Clemson since I was a freshman too. I just like the tradition and coaching. It's just a good football school to me."
As far as what he's looking for, Johnson wants a few things in a college.
"I want somewhere with a good academic system," he said. "Atmosphere is a big thing to me and I guess early playing time is a factor."
