DB Herring wont play waiting game

Melbourne (Fla.) Holy Trinity Academy defensive back Ray Herring has offers from four of the schools in his top five, but what about the fifth?
“I’m still waiting on an offer from Florida, the other four have offered,” Herring said.

Herring lists his top schools as Tennessee, Georgia Tech, Notre Dame, and Maryland along with the Gators. He says there is no leader, but is setting up visits.
“I have an official visit scheduled for Notre Dame Dec. 3 and one to Georgia Tech Dec. 17,” the 5-foot-10, 167-pound defensive back said. “I’m still trying to get the other ones scheduled.”
Herring is not getting himself too worked up about the Florida offer.
“It doesn’t really matter, either they offer or they don’t,” said Herring.
So how long is he willing to wait?
“If they haven’t offered by the end of the season, I’ll push them out and another school will take their place,” said Herring.
So who could move into his top five?
“Boston College, North Carolina, Oklahoma State and Pitt,” said Herring, who had seven interceptions to go with 149 tackles as a junior last year. “If I don’t get an offer from Florida, one of those schools will move into my top five.”
Herring’s Holy Trinity Academy squad is 2-1 and he has two picks in two games. Herring, who has been selected as an all-state performer for the last three years, sat out the first game with an injury.
